Dear Parents
Last week was an exciting week here at Ascot. Our students were getting ready for the upcoming Book Week and a few of our students readying themselves for their participation in two upcoming academic tournaments, the KPIS Spelling Bee and the TISAC Math Relay. We also held our first parent presentation of the academic year on our Math curriculum. We would like to thank all the parents who attended. For those parents who were unable to attend the presentation can be found here on our website. Our next presentation will be on Wednesday December 2nd. This presentation will be about our English curriculum and our new and upcoming initiatives in regards to this curriculum. Further details about this presentation will be forthcoming as the date gets closer. Please watch this space for more information. There are only a few items today so please pay attention to the following:
1. This Friday students from across the Primary and Secondary schools of Ascot will be participating in the TISAC Math contest held at Ascot. The students who will be representing Primary are:
Year 4
Faby, Junsei, Emma and Latte
Year 5
Kylen, Logan, Prim and Joshua
We would like to congratulate them for being chosen to represent Ascot at this event and we would like to wish them the best of luck. We have no doubt that they will make Ascot proud.
2. The deadline for returning the residentials' payment and permission slips is fast approaching. We encourage parents to provide this opportunity for their children as it helps instill in children independence and provides them with life long memories while cementing friendships. The presentations for the residentials can be found on our website. If you have any questions about the residentials please don't hesitate to contact your child's homeroom teacher.
3. Just a reminder that it is very important that students arrive to school on time. The school day starts at 7:40 and students are expected to be in their class at that time. Arriving late has a negative impact on a child's learning. We encourage parents to support their child in arriving to school on time.
Have a great weekend and thank you for your continued support.
