It has been a busy few weeks here at Ascot. Our students have been enjoying themselves with field trips, residentials, Sports day and most of all, with fun and engaging learning. We would just like to highlight a few of the great activities we have had over the past few weeks and a few more that are coming up.
Residentials

For more information about the residentials, all Key stage 2 parents are invited to attend our students' presentation of their trips in their classrooms this upcoming Monday, February 1st. We look forward to seeing all of you there.
Sports Day
Last week Saturday, January 23rd we held our annual Sports Day. The day was filled with a variety of athletic events and all students from each of the school houses show great displays of sportsmanship. The winning house will be announced at next week's assembly. We would like to thank parents for supporting this event. Your attendance was appreciated by teachers and students.
Field Trips
This past Wednesday and Thursday our Year 2 students visited Grandpa's Garden. This was to extend their study of our environment. Our students came away with a better understanding of how gardens are planted and sustained. Our Year 1 students will also be having a field trip next Monday, February 1st. They will be extending their study of marine life by visiting Sea Life Ocean World.
Events in School
Our Y1Y class has a visitor from England. His name is Eddy Bear and he is here to learn about Thailand. Each week one of our Y1Y students will be hosting him at their house and showing him around Thailand. You can read more about his adventures here. Our Year 4 students showed off their presentation and entrepreneurial skills today when they present their inventions to a room full of students, parents, teachers and two very strict judges. Needless to say that all of them performed well. Keep an eye on their class blogs here and here for pictures of the event.
Over the next few weeks, we will also be holding two very important events. First will be our celebration of Chinese New Year, the upcoming Year of the Monkey and second will be our celebration of diversity, our International Week. Further information about these events will be posted on this blog during the upcoming weeks. Have a great weekend and thank you for your continued support.
