Dear Parents,
Happy New Year and welcome back to a new term and a new year at Ascot International School! The past term was a busy one for our students. Throughout the term the students participated in a variety of activities such as, House Colours Day, Book Week and Clive PiG's visit, Performance Exchange Workshop, KPIS Spelling Bee, U9 TISAC football games, field trips, learning journey conferences and many more. The term culminated with our EY and KS 1 Christmas performances and our PY learning journal sessions between parents and their children.
With our school eagerly developing our Unit of Inquiry lessons and with further developments in our Mindfulness and SEL curriculum and our Literacy and Numeracy curriculum, this term will have even more outstanding educational opportunities for our students. In addition to in-class learning, Term 2 will also have, our Keystage 2 residentials, Sports Day, Chinese New Year, International Week, Earth Hour, Ascot Idol and our Keystage 2 production.
Parents can expect to be invited into school for two work shops about our curriculum in the EY and PY this term . There will also be opportunities such as Keystage 1 Open Day, Parent Teacher conferences, Learning Journey conferences in EY and Learning Journal sessions in PY for you to learn about what and how your child learns in class.
This term will be an exciting one for our school community. Please pay close attention to this blog for all the details of upcoming events.
