Dear Parents
We are now starting Week 7 of our first term and all of our students are fully settled in and are making wonderful progress in all aspects of their learning. Last week was one that was spent planning for some of our upcoming events and also reliving some of the fun we had in the previous week's House Colours Day.
Over the next two weeks we will be hosting two major events in our calendar. First, our Parent/Teacher conferences will be held next week Tuesday and Wednesday. Letters will be sent home over the next few days informing you of how to sign up for times to meet with your child's teachers. Also, next Friday we will be hosting our annual charity event. This year we have invited parents and students to participate in helping us raise funds for the charity Watsi. Our Primary and Secondary Student Council with the support of our teacher representative, Ms. Jade Lavery, have been working hard to make this year's event a success. I encourage all parents to help out in any way they can. Please review the parent letter that was sent out last Friday for further details on how you can help. Together we can make this event a very successful one while teaching the students of Ascot a powerful message about giving to those who are less fortunate.
We would also like to let you know that over the coming weeks Ascot PY will be promoting good manners throughout our school and among all our students. We ask that you spend time talking to your child about what it means to have good manners and what are examples of good manners. We have made this part of our P.S.H.E. curriculum in K.S.1 and appreciate the support that reinforcement at home provides.
Finally I would also like to remind parents that we recommend that students refrain from dyeing your child's hair and also from wearing large jewelry that might be dangerous during P.E. and play times. Thank you for your continued support and have a great week.
Best Regards
Ascot International Primary School Team
