Dear Parents
Last week was a great week back from our half term holiday. The students settled in quickly and picked up from where they left off. The week was filled with lots of wonderful learning opportunities and lots of fun activities. It culminated with our Halloween celebrations on Friday. Students dressed up in their spookiest of costumes and learnt about the origins of Halloween. They also participated in a variety of crafts and activities. During our assembly we announced the winners of our costume contest. You can see them all in the picture above. We would like to thank all parents for supporting us for this event.
We also held our residentials presentations for Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5. We would like to thank the parents who attended and for those who were unable to attend the presentations can be viewed on our website at this link by the end of this week. Permission forms were sent out last week Friday. Please return the forms with the payment no later than November 20th. If you have any questions about our residentials please don't hesitate to contact your child's homeroom teacher.
There are only a few items this week. Please pay attention to the following:
1. On Friday November 6th at 3:00 pm in our Y3H classroom we will be hosting our first parent presentation on our Math Curriculum. The presentation will last for about one hour and there will be an opportunity for questions. Please let your child's teacher know if you will be attending by writing a note in the contact book. All parents are welcome to attend and we look forward to seeing you at this event.
2. Ascot International Primary will be having its annual Book Week next week. Please review the letter that was sent home last week Friday as it contains important information about the activities that will be happening during this week. Activities such as The Extreme Reading Competition, The Readathon, Door Decoration Contest, Fancy Costume and Guest Readers will be happening throughout the week. It will be a wonderful experience for all involved and a great opportunity to highlight the importance of reading and literacy.
3. This Friday we will be starting our Leadership and Mentoring Program. This program will be an opportunity for our Keystage 2 students to develop leadership and collaborative skills, which are necessary for success in their future endeavors. A letter will be sent home tomorrow outlining the details of this program. If you have any further questions please feel free to email Mr. Millican at millican@ascot.ac.th.
Team 1

We would like to wish them the best of luck next week and we have no doubt they will make Ascot proud.
