During the half term, Diego, a Year 5 student at Ascot, was invited to take part in the 5th TIRAK Championship at Assumption University. Diego attends the Taekwondo ECA every Monday and also takes classes at the Tirak Centre in Central Bangna.

More than 500 students attended the 5th TIRAK Championship with competitors from Thailand, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Oman and Turkmenistan joining.

At the event, Diego competed in 2 categories. These were: 8 to 10 yrs 22 to 30 kg and 8 to 10 yrs 30 to 38 kg. Diego scored 2nd place and received silver medals in both categories.
